Eastern Idaho: Lots of moisture and flooding
Spring of 2011 is a tough one in most areas of the United States and Canada. In our region we have outstanding snow pack, and plenty of rain. Combined with several attempts at spring weather, we now have run off pushing the limits of many rivers here in Eastern Idaho.
With crops behind in planting and degree days, we need some warmer weather to advance crops, yet not quick of a warm up to further melt the snow than the rivers and streams can handle.
Here's hoping the coming of June will bring a more normal growing season.
